Dear Friends of Historic 512,
It is with much gratitude and bittersweet emotion that we announce the permanent closure of Historic 512.
Before we share the details of our news, we want to express our heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you who has celebrated with us and allowed Historic 512 to be part of your special moments. We are deeply grateful for the memories we have shared together.
As you know, Historic 512 has operated as a social enterprise of the Center for Transforming Lives, working side by side with women and their children to disrupt the cycle of poverty throughout Tarrant County. Since opening our doors in 1989, the events you have hosted here have contributed more than $9 million to programs supporting women and their children including housing, clinical counseling, early childhood education and economic mobility services. THANK YOU for helping us to achieve this significant milestone. Your support has transformed thousands of lives!
To address the growing need for its services, the Center for Transforming Lives is relocating to a new, larger and more accessible location on South Riverside Drive. This 14-acre campus will allow the Center for Transforming Lives to nearly double its impact in the community. The decision to close Historic 512 was not an easy one, and we recognize the mix of emotions it may evoke for our patrons and community. However, we know that the Riverside Campus will better serve our community and engage, support and inspire mothers on their journey to stability and financial health. We hope you will join us at the grand opening this Fall.
As we transition to new beginnings, we encourage you to keep in touch by following the Center for Transforming Lives on Facebook and Instagram to see what new things are in store.
If you'd like to learn more about the new Riverside Campus or how you can continue to be a part of our journey, please visit our website or reach out to us directly. We'd love to hear from you!
As we close our doors, we extend our sincerest thanks for your unwavering support and for allowing us to be a part of your lives.
With heartfelt thanks,
The Historic 512 Team
Melissa, Jenna, and Jordan
